Why We Are So Cheap!

It is a fact and we are not ashamed at it; our Flat Rate Pricing is much cheaper than our competitors. Most price theirs at between $2,000 and $3,000!

We have a totally different idea on how Flat Rate Pricing works best compared to our competitors. Our competitors (whom we like a lot, they are decent people with good products) think the more repair tasks the better, so they have tens of thousands of repair tasks in their Flat Rate Pricing system. A person could say they just have all those those tasks so that their product looks more valuable so they could charge ten times more than us but we think they didn't do that on purpose, its just they have a different way of looking at things. Lets say your electrician or plumber or technician is out on a job and needs to look up a price on a repair. If it takes him 15 minutes to "wade through" over 10,000 tasks in a huge binder to find the task he is doing you lost money on the job and your technician will begin to hate his job. Remember technicians love repairing things but hate administrative work. Why do you think they write so poorly on their invoices? They hate spending time on paperwork!

Lets look at a real world example: say your technician goes out to a home and finds that the condensing fan motor capacitor is bad. You don't need a task listed in your Flat Rate Book to replace every capacitor made by Carrier, Lennox, Trane, York, XYZ Company etc. known to mankind. That is ridiculous. All you need is one task listed "Replace Condensing Fan Motor Capacitor" X amount of dollars if the have a maintenance agreement or X amount of dollars if they don't.

Sure you may pay 50 cents more or 50 cents less for a fan motor capacitor when you buy them, depending on who you buy them from but the price in your Flat Rate Book. So lets say that you may make an additional $1 on that repair job because you are such a good parts shopper. Send your customer a Thanksgiving Day card with the extra buck you made off of them and they will love you for it. You just saved $5 in labor savings on every job by not wading through a huge price book. Give your technician a movie ticket once a month. He will love it.

So the really scary thing for you is this. Is our Flat Rate Pricing system going to work for your company being so low in cost? Does it really have the tasks in it that you need? Yes it will work and it will have the tasks in it that you need. Of course if you have some strange task in your area of the country you can easily add that task to your price books if you want to. Beware it will take you a whole sixty seconds to add that new task!

Also lets be completely honest. If you had over 25,000 thousand repair tasks in your price book there is about 1% of the time when you run into a really odd ball repair that isn't in anybody's price book. That's when your technician will estimate the repair cost for that odd ball job or you just charge time and material for it. That is where our Flat Rate Pricing system and our competitors are the same, only about 99% of the repairs are in our books. The difference is we cover 99% of the tasks with less than 1,000 tasks while they do it with over 10 or 30 times the tasks to "wade through". Who wants thousands and thousands of tasks in their price books that they never will use?

Our best customers are contractors that have previously used one of our competitor's price books and then junk them and use ours now. They really like ours better because it is more efficient. That being said go ahead and check out our competitors and make the best decision for your company. We have many fine competitors. A good analogy is using Microsoft Word software. Your secretary could be a "real pro" at using it but I guarantee you she/ he is only using about 1/10th of its features and capacity. You just don't need all the stuff that is in there even though you paid for it.
